Christmas Dinner Davie Style!

The chef taking a quick break!
Pecan Tarts for desert....like mini pecan pies. They are so delicious and one of Mega's ( Dave's Grandmother's) recipes
Dave roasted a prime cut of beef for Christmas Dinner for about 5 hours at 200 degrees in the oven. It was delicious. He made a homemade AuJus and a horseradish sauce for dipping and served it with mashed potatoes and a beautiful strawberry, pecan, and bleu cheese salad. Topped with a homemade poppy dressing.
Papa was anxiously awaiting the BEEFJust a pretty salad
Caroline attempting to do the one thing no ever does...brush GayGay's hair. That's better angel from heaven...let's brush Julie's hair!
So excited to show the Grandparents what Santa brought

Facial Expression=Priceless on Christmas Morning

This is when she realized Santa CAME!!!!!
And I love the above pic SO MUCH! She was so shocked!!! She didn't know what to do so....I guess I'll stick my tongue out Mommy!!!!!!!!!! And I'll keep it out because I can't believe it!
Body language says it all here too--little hands behind her back!! So precious. She was afraid to touch anything at first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is killer too-she would look at her stuff, look at me, and then look at Daddy who was filming. I have so many where she is looking at him as if too say...." Is this real Daddy?"
Shocked!
At Daddy again!
This is just TOO MUCH Mommy! I gotta rest!!!!!!!!!
Ok-let's start opening!
FaceTime is a Beautiful thing!!!!!!!!!!!! Papa, GaGa and Nana were able to call us all the way from West Palm. And we able to see her little face!
She got an American Girl Doll-Julie and matching Bitty Baby PJ's that we quickly had to wear!!
And of course, Santa did a remarkable stocking full of goodies including her favorites stickers and band-aids....because her babies have booboos all the time!!!
Christmas morning was so magical at our house this year. We really enjoyed it and for the first time in years were able to experience it through the eyes of a child. Magical and memorable it indeed!!
Thank you God for sending your son...that was the BEST gift ever!!! Joy Joy Joy!
