How did little Baby Benson even come about?

Davie and I were friends at AU. And in the fall of 2004 became a little more....thank goodness for cell phones and roads!!! This is one of my favorite AU pics...tailgating before a football game. Notice the pleather skirt from Old Navy. Priceless.....

The Nursery is Done

OK-so I found out I was pregnant Labor Day weekend. Dave walked in from hunting and I told him. I told Mom when she was at a fabric store. And Dad over the phone. Cried only when I told Robin-up until then the girls had been my babies....and boy oh boy were things about to change.
Alot of preparation went in to making this the perfect place for a little girl. Tom painted, put up crown molding, and hung the chandelier. Thanks Mom, Dave and Tom!!!!!

Who Will She Look Like?

Dave and I look alike as Babies! Thought these were too cute!

My Babies

Here are some pics of my precious little nieces. Emma Kate is 6 and Taylor is 4! They are going to be such a BIG HELP with the new baby!

The Big Guy Takes on Farming

Not sure if any of you know or care about this but Dave is actually doing some farming this year. As you know, I grew up on a cotton farm and Dad is ready to retire. Dave and John are contemplating what to do and how to do it in this picture. What did they decide....corn and soybeans. I'll keep you posted as to the outcome!

Lilli's Party

Hosting Lilli's 29th Birthday Party back in February was a real treat. She has been a great friend to me and we wanted to show her just how special she was! Surprise Lills!!!!

Celebrating a Special Friend

This is from Tori's McCaig's shower. Toe is one of my best friends and is getting married. She is a great friend and I am SO happy for her. Notice the shirt I am wearing....I know it is in like every picture, BUT I it like it so there. The other pic is from Toe-Toe's last visit to the ATL before the baby. She is quite the cook and brought me homemade sausage biscuits!!!!!!!!!

Dinner with the Girls

Staying friends throughout the years can be tough. But when you find loyal friends, well it makes it a lot easier. These are my friends from AU that I met nearly 10 years ago this year. We are actually celebrating many different things in this photo taken last Sunday, but for me it is the soon to be arriving Baby Benson. We missed you Mary and Allie but ate plenty!
Seasons 52 is one of my most favorite restaurants. Not exclusive to Atlanta, it is a chain but one fine eating establishment. With only 425 calories per entre, you can eat and eat and not feel guilty. I highly recommend it!!!!

Easter with The Bensons

Easter is a time of Celebration and Thanks! For the past several years, I have spent it with my in-laws in Atlanta. We always go to Cherokee Town and Country Club for Brunch after church and this year was no differenct....making it a great day of celebration with VERY good food. Afterwards, we watched Kenney Perry lose the Masters. Watching golf with Dave actually makes it interesting! To left, Lynn and Dave smiling for the camera.

Tallasse Showers the BABY!

My Tallassee shower was at the home of Danelle Hicksin March. Lots of great food, friends and GIFTS! I thoroughly enjoyed opening all of my wonderful gifts. I must say it is very fun to be having a girl. I have gotten so many cute clothes!!! Picture beside me and above are many of closest and dearest friends. It is a shame though that most of us don't live in the same town. I MISS all of my wonderful friends and family. Thanks to cell-phones and the internet though keeping in touch is pretty easy.

Showering in the ATL

This shower was at Linda G.'s lovely home one of Lynn's best friends. I got lots of great stuff!!! And really appreciate all the love and support! It made preparing for baby a lot easier!
