Little Ears!

This summer has consisted of much growth and development for Cara and me! Exploration accompied with trips to YogliMogli have taken up much of her time. Temper tantrums spike late afternoons when she decides she wants yoglimogli and I say no. Nana continues her trips to the nature center(which I hear about in detail), as well as Publix, playdates with Carter and the neighbors and trips to the park. Her vocabulary is exactly what Dave and I say. She compliments everything I do...my hair, my legs, my nails, even my lipstick! It's really funny. I put on a white t-shirt and she said mommy, I like your shirt! hahaha! I said sweet heart, this is old and it's Daddy's but thank you. She was looking at Dave's Ipad the other day and I said, whatcha doing and she said "checking the weather"! Bahahahahah. She says "oh my gosh" all the time. My point....this 2 year old mini-me is making me think about every WORD that comes out of my mouth. Because EVERYTHING I do and SAY, she is watching and will repeat. I guess I am learning children are a great way to get you to see yourself. How and what they say is reflective of whay they hear. It's scary...scary to think I am impacting her so much!! Yikes!!! I guess it just makes me want to be better person.

Let me go...I need some reflective time myself. Thanks for caring and reading about the trials of motherhood! I guess it's just beginning!

The Magic of a Big Girl BED

We jumped up and down and screamed when the delivery truck pulled up!!! Below: Precious tries out her new sheets....with baby of course!

Caroline slept in her crib the first 12 months of her life and the last 13 months of her life with her parents! It has been a love/hate situation.

The cuddle time I will cherish for the rest of my life, and by the way I still lie down with her to help her go to sleep or rock which ever she prefers. But overall, it just did not work anymore. She needed her own bed and it was time for her to sleep in it. So, we made a HUGE deal about it. We went to Macys and picked out the mattresses. She got fairy princess sheets complete with a new pillow. Long story longer...she LOVES her big girl bed and has been sleeping like a princess since we made the move. I, on the other hand, cried myself to sleep the first night and the next morning when I realized she could in fact sleep with out us!!! But after that, we have been so thankful for such an easy transition. And proud she is out of our bed!!!!

Potty trained and a big girl bed in a month....Slow down here, girl!!!

Dog Days

Emma Kate and Taylor stayed with us late week! As you can tell from the pictures, it was PLAY all day and all night basically! I enjoyed them so much and Caroline did too!! It rained a lot one night and soaked the sand table. Emma's little tidy self had the idea to clean the toys. So, they took each toy to the front yard and cleaned it. After the cleaning job, it turned in to a water party!! Nothing more fun than a hose on a HOT summer day!

Caroline did whatever she was told!

This water is cold mommy!

Hurry Taylor!!!

Play Time!

I know the above pic is blurry but I thought is was worth posting because of their faces. Reagan came over last week to play!! It is so amazing to watch their little minds grow and interact together. Sand time, and chase make up most of Caroline's most favorite activities!!! And chase, well it is her most favorite game ever!!!
