Mom's Birthday!

The Holley's Christmas Tree
December birthdays are tough. We celebrated Mom's birthday the day before we did the family Christmas. None the less making 59 years very special!!! We love you Mom and appreciate so much all you do for the family.
Dressing up is just part of being a kid. It took Caroline no less than 10 minutes at the Holley house to find and dress in this dance attire. EK is wearing Robin's prom dress! And Taylor well she is just being a Lady!
The girls were also dying to open at least one gift. Caroline was thrilled with Hiho Cherrio!

Christmas in T-town

Thanks GayGay and PaPa for all the fun! And Aunt Robin and Uncle John
GayGay and Papa got an IPAD...now what to do with it?
This little face sums up the entire weekend!
Emma Kate was fascinated with the IPADColoring with her bestie, Taylor
And cruising with the JEEP! Thanks GAYGAY
Taylor LOVED her JEEP too!

Emma Kate liked whatever that thing is called:)
Taylor and Caroline play so well together!!! Holding and getting ready to tear in to all their gifts!!!
I love the above picture because it shows lil Caroline watching her cousin. She could barely open her things for watching EK's reaction to her presents!!!
Thanks for my dress up stuff GayGay!

Christmas with the Bensons

Who knew carrots could taste so good?
Christmas dinner with Nana and GaGa is always a treat. The menu was roasted carrots, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and pork tenderloin with a Gorgonzola cream sauce. Absolutely mouth watering, oh my goodness, delicious! And for dessert a Hummingbird cake. This was a new recipe for Lynn. It tasted very much like banana bread with a orange cream frosting. I am not looking forward to the scales at my Jan. 5 appointment:) This was Dave's china when he was a little boy. So sweet to see Caroline eat off the very same plate. Thanks Nana! I have not stopped playing with my pram baby doll stroller.
I snapped this just in time to catch that precious hand on the hip! Caroline "helped" GaGa open his owl ornament. He and Caroline love to talk about birds, and animals and listen for the friendly neighborhood owl that says who who!
Thanks Nana for my silver ornament. An angel is pretty fitting for me this year.
Thanks for my tri-cycle
Yep GaGA it's an open IPAD all for you!!! Now the question is will you use it?This was her face the whole night!!!!!!!!!!
Nana's beautiful tree! And so thankful we were all healthy and happy and able to be together. Ever since I started dating Dave, I have enjoyed Christmas with them so much. They make it special...the food, the presents. I can tell Lynn puts a lot of love in it. And as a daughter-in-law, I appreciate it very much!
She LOVES this thing!!! A FUR REAL PET given by Aunt Jackie!!! It's the only dog she has bless her little heart. The next day Nana even bought her a bed at Pet Smart...a cat bed to be exact with a water bowl. She holds it, loves it, calls it, and feeds it too.

Taste of Dickey's

Our good friends Allison and Kent opened a restaurant Dickey's BBQ and we were finally able to eat there today. The food was great! Well-priced, good service, casual and clean atmosphere made for a nice dining experience. It has been open now for about 2 months I'm guessing and we wish them all the best. The restaurant was packed when we there and hope it continues. If you're around the Kennesaw area, I recommend swinging in for a good, inexpensive meal!!

We would have gone up sooner, but when you work during the week, time off is not that often and it is hard fitting everything in to the weekend. This worked out perfect. I was off and was able to take pumpkin up for a little BBQ! Fun relaxing day....now ready for Santa!!!!!!
Aunt Jackie gave Caroline this Raggedy Ann doll and Reagan has one too! Who knew the love of this doll? I guess I should have known because if it has a face...she loves it.
The food was so yummy!! Great job Kent. We really enjoyed it!!

Chirstmas Break Fun!

Christmas Cookies. Unlike Lynn and my Mom, cooking is well a challenge for me. Maybe because I don't do it enough. Here the cookies are struggling a bit. I should have made the icing thicker....
Looking for the dog Toby...."I'm so scared, Mommy!" Toby is there very large but pretty golden retriever. As noted above, precious doesn't have much experience with big pets and fear is well apparent just look at the face! And you know what, I guess Mom secretly gets scared too!! Bahahaha
Reagan and Caroline playing chase....sweet babies!

Sunday Brunch with the Marist Crew

Elizabeth, Libby, Stacey, Whitney, Sally, Jennifer, Me and Lilli-all Marist grads except Jenn and Me. Ryan and Jennifer Ingalls hosted the annual Christmas Brunch and it was just delightful. Beautiful home, great food, and good company made for an enjoyable gathering. Caroline had a ball with all the other little kids. The guys were too cool for pics I guess.

On the left we have an Ingalls boy and on the right we have an Eddy! I'm afraid trouble could await! Little Finn is just hanging out in the corner... All the babies! Anna Blair, Kinsley, Caroline, Finn, Jack, Wade, Brooks, Michael, and James....

Caroline and Kinsley are almost a year apart. Caroline will turn 3 this year and little Kinsley will be 2. Precious precious!

And this little munchkin is Anna Blair. She is Elizabeth's baby girl. Teeny tiny cuteness is what she is....a lightening rod of energy and fun! CCaroline enjoyed the fun so much! She played and ate alone like a big girl. She of course liked the older ones and went everywhere Jack and Brooks went. We had a ball getting together with everybody and committed to doing it more often! Next time with no kids:)
