Dinner with the Fords

Summer favorite! Capri salad!
Ever roasted asparagus or broccoli? Dave just started doing this a couple of months ago, but it has become a house staple. It's pretty good and super healthy. Toss it in a little olive oil and top with Parmesan cheese. Delicious!!!!!!! I think larger asparagus is better roasted, but other than that it is just great. And kale too...try kale! It's crunchy and salty. Like a healthy potato chip.

Home grown hydrangeas....picked from the back yard! Love love these flowers!!

Caroline waiting for her special friend! She had been playing in my lipstick!

Anna loves Caroline's toys.

An early dinner for the girls!

My sweet friend and our sweet girls! It was a fun night! Sweet little Anna slept in her pack and play while Mom and Daddy socialized. Caroline went to bed fairly easy as well and we were able to eat, and drink some of Jonathon's special wine. It was a fun and a yummy night!

#1 Dad, GaGa, and Papa and Great Grandpa Davis!!!!

Dave and PaPa Davis in Florida in March!

I love my Papa!! He takes me to see the kitty cats!!!

It's a music card Gaga!!! And Thanks Gaga for swinging me!!!!

Thanks Daddy for playing with me every night and tucking me in too!!! I LOVE MY DADDY!

Thankfully, Caroline was blessed with a wonderful Dad. I have been blessed with a wonderful Dad, and so has Dave and so has Nana. I just read an article on yahoo, about the decline of two parent households and single Mothers doing it alone. It saddens me deeply to think of children growing up with out a Dad. There is something very comforting about your Father. He protects, directs, and instructs you on a lot of things mothers can't. I am so thankful for my Dad and can't imagine life with out him!!!! Here's to Dave, Tom, T-Bone, and Spencer! You guys are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRECIOUS ANGEL and POTTY TRAINING!

Telling Daddy she likes his hair!

Sitting with her favorite person!

We love our potty chair and our books on potty training. We have another chair upstairs and we even take it with us on outings.

Hi Mommy!

Wow-is it really time for her to be potty trained? Where did the time go? I introduced the potty months ago but would just allow her to "explore" it. Sometimes she would go and other times well she liked her diaper. Last weekend though, I decided we would focus on using the potty exclusively. Mom was here and helped me. Well, low and behold a week later really a few days later and she was "trained". No accidents, no crying, nothing. Easy. I thought it would have been more difficult. She loves showing us the "results" of her potty experience. She did have two accidents with Nana but really she is doing great. I ask her often..."need to potty?" and usually she goes if she needs and "No, mommy" if she doesn't.

I am hesitant to say we are DONE with diapers because I am going to use them at night as long as need be (although she didn't even need it last night). But she is doing really well during the day and I am just thrilled. Sad but thrilled she likes it!

Pool Day with the Neighbors

Rachel and Virginia Grace enjoying the pool. VG turns 3 in August and she has an older brother Jackson. Jake and Rachel are from AL and actually went to Auburn. Jake and Dave were in the same fraternity..small world. We are so glad to have them in the neighborhood! Saturday, we grilled out at the pool and stayed ALL day....relaxing and chatting. Summer is awesome!
