Corn, Corn and More Corn

Dave is growing corn, and soybeans this year on my Dad's property. He has 150 acres and he is SO excited to be doing it. As most of you know I grew up with Dad growing cotton but corn and soybeans have become more profitable in recent years so that is what Dave has decided to do. He is so proud of them too. He says his corn rivals Ohio's corn....but PaPa Davis disagrees-What do you think PaPa?

Pool Party at the Taylors

Caroline, Emma Kate, Taylor, Seth, and Laura Katherine, and Emma's friend Lauren had a pool party at Moms last Friday. The little princess didn't get in the pool. It was a little too hot outside and I dont think she is quiet ready! As you can see, the kids had a ball!!! Melissa and Leah and I grew up together and it is so fun when we get together. They are family in my book!!

Reagan and Caroline Together Again!

Allison is one of my dearest friends and she and Reagan are going to be great friends! They are already getting to know one another. As you can see in the above pictures, we had a quiet a fun day. Caroline cheered Reagan on as she rolled over!! Allison is quiet the baby whisperer. She had Caroline's attention from the beginning and Caroline starred and grinned ALL afternoon. Too Cute!!!!

Caroline has become quite the kicker. Inside me she was a kicker and now she loves to play under this aquatic mobile. As you can see, kicking adds up to sleeping though. The above shot is one of the first times she REALLY got in to it. Dave and I were freaking out watching her smile and kick!!!

Caroline and Mary Catherine

Caroline and Mary Catherine spent some time together on Sunday afternoon after having breakfast at JChristophers. It was quite the day for the little Miss Cara. First restaurant experience(she did great) and her first visit with Mary Catherine. Mary is the daughter of Doug and Bree Nagode. She and Cara are one week apart. She is adorable!!!!!

Mary's Shower!

One of my dear friends had a wedding shower on Saturday and it was the first "event" I have been to since the baby. It was nice to get ready and go somewhere social. Mary is wearing the adorable orange dress!!!! Wow so pretty!! She got it at this great store in Buckhead called Poppys. She is marrying a really nice guy and we are so happy for the two of them. The wedding will take place in September but there are more parties and celebrations in the near future! I am already looking forward to them. Best Wishes Mary and Nathan.

Action at the Bensons

Being home on maternity leave with a 5 and half week old is pretty typical....nurse, change diapers, baby talk, stroll, sleep, and snuggle....Today however was different. I went to put Caroline in her Bouncy Seat and heard a snap only to find a HUGE limb fell on the bench that Caroline and I sit at ALLL the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty Scary. Needless to say Davie is a calling the tree man again to do some trimming!
